MP backs biodiesel tax break project

Liberal Democrat MP Andrew George is backing a project to keep tax breaks for companies who produce biodiesel.
Producers oil into biodiesel presently benefit from a 20p differential but that is because of end next April.
The St Ives MP, who leads the Lib Dem Environment Team, has been meeting the UK sustainable biodiesel alliance.
Mr George stated "a variety of small businesses in Cornwall currently make money from used cooking oil".
He included: "In order to have the ability to get this sort of market going it does need simply a little bit of lift which is available in the type of tax inescapable."
Biodiesel is a blend of standard diesel, rapeseed and vegetable oils.
